Providing the Confidence to face Life with Dignity

Trust in our combined experience and love of teaching!
Deaf Dignity is the culmination of the efforts of a hearing-impaired young man and his mother over a period of twenty years.
The fear of a possible limited future for her son, made the mother teach him to lip read and speak aloud in simple English. All communication with family and friends was only in English.
With this base foundation the son gained confidence and took steps on his own to further enlarge his vocabulary.
He did this by watching movies with English sub-titles and confidently interacting with hearing people at school, college and work.
Deaf Dignity also stems from almost ten years of interacting with hearing-impaired children of all ages.
It took many years to understand the inherent reason for the lack of confidence of the hearing-impaired to write sentences on their own.
It is very possible for the hearing impaired to comprehend and communicate in English.
Though it may be slow, with consistent and resilient teaching efforts, the process will be a steady one.
The hearing-impaired child also needs to be encouraged to persevere.
It is only then they will be able no end to face life with confidence.
Our focus is primarily the dignity and self-confidence of the Hearing Impaired.
